Deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep vein, most commonly in the legs. It may cause leg pain, swelling, warmth, redness, or tenderness, but in some cases symptoms can be subtle. If untreated, DVT can lead to serious complications such as pulmonary embolism. At Vascular Specialist Center, we provide specialist evaluation, risk assessment, and treatment planning for DVT patients to help prevent complications and improve vascular health.
